Great description of a personal favorite segment of Detox. You got the private scene in House's office before he smashed his hand to a tee: pretty much how I saw it. (You can tell House is in unspeakably unbearable pain from the mixture of sweat and tears on his face. Never again on the show have I seen House break quite like this. For someone who most people view as emotionally stunted, I wonder what his coworkers would think if they saw him in that position. Of course, given House's stubbornness, he never lets anyone come too close. You can see why he guards his vulnerability so closely...he doesn't want anyone to think he can't be beaten down by the physical pain that controls him. However, as we all know, the Vicodin habit tells otherwise...

Wow, I'm fully impressed of your story, an it took me about 1 month, with a small pause of two weeks, to read. It's the most well-written House-fanfic I ever read, and the fact that it was a 45-chapter story, wasn't something that bored me, actually wish it could have been more chapter. I would like to know what Stacy should tell Wilson. And you captured the character, and the dialogues would fit perfectly in the real TV-show. A thing I really enjoed with your story, was those flashbacks, when you get to know how House's life had been before. I was touched reading the story, so fantastic, it's my opinion of this...

Hey this is ridiculous because I know this fic is at least 2 years old, but wanted to mention that I really like this piece, and it stayed in my mind. In fact, on two seperate occasions I patiently searched the fan fic archives to find it when I couldn't remember the title. I'm not even a House/Wilson shipper and I don't write House fanfiction. So that's kind of saying something! Good job, and I'm especially impressed that you actually finished something of this length.

I loved the story... and the epilouge...very much appropriate! House and Wilson smoking weed they needed something to calm them down. I appreciated your story because it really captured the essence of the characters and finally NO SLASH! (well at least non like other fics)

My Favorite Story, i would love to read more of your stories

I just finished reading this story and loved every minute of it. It consumed me. I thought you did an excellent job of describing the characters. Some of the lines between Wilson, Cuddy, and House were priceless. When you redirected House to Princeton General, I was disappointed at first but obviously you had a vision I didn't foresee because that was one of my favorite pieces. Loved the interaction with a different hospital and staff and loved how you handled his return to PPTH. What a nice surprise. The final chapter with Wilson, the smoke, and the ensure left me with a smile on my face. I'm so sad it's over. Good job! Can't wait to read more of your stuff. I'm checking out the "Three Stories" piece. I think you've named it "Thursday".

Just reviewing before I forget, you have me reading this pretty much all night and today. I wanted to say that your characterisation is absolutely perfect. Scenes which have stood out for me so far were the first scene where House takes the vicodin and realises he's an addict, throwing away the pill. Also, the scene in the bar with Wilson, the calculated nature of his oblivion. You truly manage to get the spirit of the characters, and I'm really enjoying this.

I do not even know where to begin in trying to review this masterpiece. Anything I say is shamefully inadequate, but I would be remiss to say nothing. I felt like I watched this rather than read it because it was so well-written. I'm so glad you wrote this and explored the physical implications of that detox week in greater detail, because the show really failed on a lot of fronts in that episode. The House-Wilson dynamic was perfection, particularly in that last chapter. Oh how I'd love to see what happens next. House and Wilson stoned out of their minds, just the thought of it makes me grin. Thank you for writing this it was simply wonderful.

okay... so I actually have got nothing to say. until now I've been just silently worshipping you and sacrificing small animals in your name. or not.

but anywhoo, I actually thought to stop the small animals-bit and worship you more outwardly. somehow you have nailed all the characters, the whole essence of the show and have been able to keep the story together, and me interested for 25 chapters so far. and that's saying something. I've even printed out some 30 pages of your story for I don't like to read on the computer that much. so that's how good this is. but I'll stop harrassing you now. bye and thanks.

Hahaha. Awesome epilouge. Very good way to get the friendship back in good graces, and so very Housian. xD I really enjoyed this one through and through. Thought at first it might get a little too redundant what with the episode quotations, but you managed to pull it off excellently. And the missing scenes tie things together so well! I'll never be able to watch 'Detox' again without thinking of your additions in between. ;)

Anyway thanks for a great read!
