I absolutely love your story! I have always thought that Kaya was an important character. One thing that bugs me is that you switch from past tense to present tense and back again. Other than that, your story is wonderful.

According to articles from Studio Gibli about Princess Mononoke, "big brother" and "little sister" are used as endearments by the engaged Ashitaka and Kaya.

Hey i like your story. You have a nice flow. Its pretty nice and i am glad the sister is getting a bit more told. I watched Princess Mononoke and i found it really nice. But the ending was somewhat of a cliff hanger. I like it when a movie has a solid ending. But you sometimes include words that are not consistent with the era of which you are writing about.

Umm... whoever told you they were to be wed is wrong I think, cause if you watch the dubbed version she actually calls herself Ashitaka's little sister. Anyway, nice way to do the reunion between those too, you made it fit quite well.

Keep updating for heaven sake! Dont give up on this story!

I heard about the intended bride as well, and I think it was lost in translation. Apparently 'little sister' was like saying 'sweetheart.' Sure, they look alike, but nearly all the Emishi had dark hair and eyes.
Anyway, it's great this story is back, and I really like it. Kaya's jealousy of San is good, and I like Shin.
