Coming from Cloud's first Pov, this is positively surprisingly in-character, and it is precisely the simplicity of it that captures the serene dynamics this pairing is based on. And the whole setting in Wutai, in Winter? It works SO well, and I can almost feel like I'm right there where they are.

Cloud's thoughts come through as boyish and unspoilt - just like how much I remember of him in the original game (good times ,good times .) It's beautiful - the way you process his thoughts - and I exceptionally take to that last sentence.

I'm glad you made several in-game references too. Those canon parts certainly makes the fic a little closer to home. (:

I'm being rapidly made aware that my preconceptions are always wrong. There is, in fact, such a thing as a perfectly light, poetic Cloud-Aeris that makes you smile a sad little smile. Your Cloud seems more healed; less vindictive and wounded than the greater proliferation to be found on most fan fiction sites - it's something I've seen before, but not something I've ever seen done well, until now.

simple, short, beautiful. i could almost picture the very graphics of a picturesque wutai and our beloved couple set against the snowy backdrop. i've always loved the snow, and liked the idea of how you linked cloaer with such a lovely winter season.

It was short, sweet and very, very poignant. Lots of one shots can tend to get too wordy and too complicated, but you've said here what you want to say and you say it simply, effectively, gracefully.
Weridly enough, I wrote a novelization of FF7 and in it both Cloud and Aerith climb the Da-Chao statues and talk about their pasts. It was just nice to see that mirrored here. Lovely work, keep it up. :)
