Good story. It follows the anime pretty closely; however, I think the A&K aspect brings a breath of fresh air to the anime. I hope you continue this story, eventually.

WOW! You have absolutely no idea how much I adore this story! It's more than believable and well-written, so fluid that the reading goes by so fast (eventhough I often reread the bits I love). There were moments that gave me butterflies in my stomach, just thinking of being in Kaoru's place.

I adore the gorgeous simplicity in your writing that speaks volumes with such poignant words... I've never known how writers like yourself manage to do that. It remains a mystery to me.

Why doe it feel like Aoshi's REALLY Aoshi in this? Simply because you're a brilliant writer! You've kept them so much in character, I can't even begin to thank you for how much of a wondeful read this is!

I was actually listening to Samurai Champloo's "Shino's Theme" song while reading this chapter and let me just tell you, it was like walking through the whole scene as Aoshi mouthed a longing "Tadaima" to Kaoru accompanied by the music... g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s!

Onto the last chapter... *CRIES* (Please for the love of (my) life, tell me you've not abandonned this fic! PLEASE!!)

There are so many parts I lved ut truly this story is wonderful! *Hopes with all her might that Akane-Rei updates this awesome fic*

Absolutely amazing and beautiful! I adore adore adore (Xinfinity) how Kaoru and Aoshi are completely in character. They feel so very real, so tangible. I wouldn't doubt for a second that if Kaoru had found those graves, she would have definitely paid her respects and Aoshi being there and watching her from a distance is totally plausible.

"Again, he remained silent almost for the perverse pleasure of unnerving her."->That line sent chills down my spine because of how I felt his character come to life in seeing Kaoru discomfort. It's crazy how IC you portray them!

Also, I'm glad you threw in Aoshi's Oniwabanshu members' names, since he keeps repeating them (almost comically) constantly. You did it under the right circumstances minus the nag.

Although I'm only going on chapter three, I sincerely hope to God that you still update this fic... it's so hard to find a fic of an alternate pairing that stays IC.

Again, I adore this! Onto chapter three...

So far, ths is absolutely beautiful! It's subtle and it makes it very possible for the characters to feel this way!

Beautiful. Simply beautiful. This story makes me believe that the Aoshi/Kaoru pairing really *is* possible, even if it is in an AU story. I hope that you update soon—though, by your profile, it doesn´t seem like you update too regularly. I doesn´t really matter—Real Life tends to get in the way. Just knowing that you´re going to finish this amazing story makes this warm glowy happy feeling settle in my heart. To think that just an hour ago I was stressed about semester exams!
