The story could use a bit of fleshing out - it seems a bit rushed - but it was good nonetheless.

Also, I'm really glad you wrote this. As soon as I read about Skif after picking up the series, I couldn't help but think about what would happen if he met Briar (and a passionate love was at the top of the list in my mind).
