I really, really liked this. The exploration of Katou's emotions and fears was beautifully done, and the last paragraph really summed up Sae's character to me.

How beautiful and moving! Katou is surely a complex figure and there is loads about him, much more than his playful and cynical appearance!
You have contemplated all his life in the plot of AS, which is very impressive.
