I've never seen this pairing done so well before, nor have I seen much of this pairing, but you write greatly. You practically convince the audience that this is a natural pairing. I'm sure even those who despise this pairing read it anyway because you write so well. - If they didn't, they're just a bunch of stubborn dumbasses who are too immature to even think about variety or possibility against the "standard" set pairings.

I tried to pretend it was Neji-Shika, I really did but Chouji's POV sounded far too well-adjusted to be our sweet angsty Hyuuga Shika-Chouji traumatizes me because I'm such a menkui...

That aside, it was very sweet _ I liked it, really, particularly how they started kissing. Kawaii!
