This is interesting. I've always pictured the Montparnasse/Eponine relationship to be dubcon-bordering-on-noncon; I've never considered the possibility that Montparnasse might be jealous of Marius. This flows very well, wonderful job.

I love your characterisation- Eponine's bitterness, her joy, her thoughts- and I like 'Parnasse, too. Well done!

Just one nitpick: "They both couldn’t be happy." The line itself is all right, it just doesn't flow. Perhaps if you reworded it, it might flower better- but it's just one sentence. I love your story so very, very much!

Wow. I really liked this. Montparnasse was in character, and yet, it all fit nicely.

(I don't really like endings where dead characters keep on living, but) I liked Montparnasse's reaction to her death.
