Wow. I was pretty surprised that Kakashi went ahead and killed him, but that made the plot more believable. Great story. ^^ I'm going to go cry over it now.

Gah, how depressing. :) Wait, I don't think a smiley face is supposed to go with that statement. Fanfic twists the emotional responses after awhile. :) I'm glad you didn't have a deathfic warning. The story wouldn't've had the same impact. I kind of feel in shock, like wait, they're supposed to fix Sasuke, not kill him! Eek, thinking about it is making me feel yucky, I preferred the empty shock to this sick stomach feeling. :( I am curious about what Kakashi is right about, I'm guessing when Sasuke left or sometime during his training there was something about not needing to look further than the village for power or maybe something about killing Itachi not fixing things or that Sasuke was going to become his brother or maybe something else entirely, I'm not too far along in the show/manga. So is there something specific Kakashi is right about or are you just being mysterious? :) I think this is a believeable future for Sasuke, and anime/manga/asian movies seem to love killing people off when American things would have a happier ending. Man, fanfic isn't supposed to make sad endings, it's supposed to fix the mistakes of the writers! I just don't want to even think about your story. :) It was very well written though and obviously has an impact. I kind of want to know more about what's going on, but it's not really necessary for the story. Well great job, keep on writing!

So incredibly poignant. I think this is (so far) the only story I've read that has managed to combine tangible emotion and good fight scenes in such a way that the characters remain true to themselves. In the small interaction they have, the dynamics of Sasuke and Kakashi's relationship is apparent. I especially like the conclusion, which was quite a fitting end.

Rather poetic and terribly tragic. Very, very well done.

Hmm... I liked this. It was interesting and a nice look into how it all plays out. I would never have expected Kakashi to be the one to kill him, though.
