It's official, you are one of my favorite authors. I'm off to read everything you've written. You have a way of capturing humorous, wonderfully real moments that leave me smiling.

I really loved this fic. You got the characters down really well, Blink with the jokes and Mush with the shoes. But what I really enjoyed about it is that you showed a different side to the whole Newsies in a lodging house. I mean, there's bound to be fights between 2 dozen boys living under one roof, but they don't really show it in the movie, you know? I loved the humor in it and how you really got the point across about how important a simple pair of shoes were.

Okay, so I've already reviewed this story. But I just reread it and I sort of feel the need to review again, because, wow, this is awesome. :]

So I'm not logging in to avoid the whole "you have already reviewed this story" thing.

Basically this is fantastic. Which I've already said. Probably time to drag out some new praise, eh?

Well, first of all I really love how Blink gets the glass out, Mush is still mad at him (with good reason I might add), Blink gets the message, and then still returns the shoes later. You've written this story so that I'm wholeheartedly on Mush's side, but when Blink makes up for pulling the prank I forgive him. Which makes me grin. Hugely.

And I really like Race's part in this story, how he offered his shoes. Even if he knew Mush wouldn't take him up on it, I still like it.

So that was longer, and I feel better about it now, because I really do like this story. :]

I see that you've got a new story -- definitely going to have to check that out. :]

What can I say that I haven't said before? I can't believe I never read any of your stories before - but I'm kind of glad that I've only just started. Cause I get to enjoy them for the first time. Blink/Mush friendship is certainly a rival to Spot/Race friendship.. they are so lovable.. they are such.. boys. My favorite line was "me taking your smokes was an accident" "it was?" "nope"
and the last bit, with the pillow.
and Race in general, if only because you've made me fall in love with him all over again, and just seeing him reading the paper all nonchalant was enough to make my heart flutter.

ACK! Stupendously wonderful! I died laughing. Seriously. But obviously I am now alive. Not really sure how that all happened.
Anyway... I loved it! Absolutely delightful and exceptionally hysterical!

First of all, this must receive props for one of the best summaries EVER.

Secondly, as far as I know my fic Obtrusive and this one are the only fics that deal almost exclusively with a Newsie's feet, and yet they are very different. Yay!

I loved the dialogue, it was really natural, and the glass part made me wince. I also like that you depicted the characters differently than most authors do - I'm so used to reading Blush fics that it was a surprise to see them having such catty, bitter fights (it comes from love, of course ;P). Interesting portrayals and a sweet ending. Really a nice one shot!

omg i loved it...i thought it was soo good!! u should def think about writing another one. i love how u had blink and mush...they are 2 of my favorite characters! blink was so funny...i like how he made a joke bout everything...andthe think with mush tellin jack blink stabbed him in the foot. priceless...lol

Cute. A very good one-shot. The dialogue was good, and there was just enough humor in it to make it seem clever. Yet, there was that whole 'moral'thing at the end, which gave the story more depth, if you know what I mean. I definitely have to check out your other story soon.

Wow! That's a really good story. A Blink/Mush fic where they're not madly in love. A rare creature, indeed! I enjoyed the dialogue, too. Very funny!

Wow. That was absolutely wonderful. Mush was completely adorable and pathetic in his pride, and Blink... Oh, Blink.

I agree with B in that you write angst equally as well as you write humor... and you write humor damn well. Please write more soon!

And one-shots CAN be tough, but you wrote this like you've been writing them forever.
