This is brilliant!

Aww. I loved it. Pony had no idea how important he was to his brother. Darry feels the same thing for Ponyboy that Pony feels for the stars.. basically. O.o

I like the story. What were Ponyboys friends POV? What about Jill and her friends POV?

Lordy, it's a good thing I don't have kids! That one-shot was tough to read! But I remember doing the same sort of wondering when I was a kid, except I wondered about breast size. LOL I bet Darry is REALLY sorry he walked in on that one!

That was fantastic! I loved this part:
"Then, for at least the third or fourth time in one night, Darry surprised me again by coming over to lay down on the street next to me.

“Okay, so what’s the big deal?” he finally asked after a couple of minutes. “A bunch of pinhole sized lights up in the sky. How can you stare at this for hours on end?”

“Think about it, Dar – billions of balls of fire, light years away. Some of them aren’t even there any more, they died off centuries ago, but their light is just getting to us now.”

“So?”

“So, how bad can the world be, if we can look up in the sky at night and still see the shining light of something that died years ago? I don’t know. Maybe it isn’t just the stars. Maybe if we know how to look, we can see that shining light in other things around us, still brilliant and guiding, years after someone we knew…after they…” I couldn’t finish, so I didn’t try. Months later, it could still be unexpectedly startling and painful."

How bittersweet and poignant! Yargh!

I really like this fic so far!

I really, really loved this. Hands down, one of the fics I enjoy most on here.

I love reading about Darry and Ponyboy, especially the way you do. The Chaperone was funny, and you see how Darry and Ponyboy bond throughout the night even though Pony didn't want Darry there in the first place. I love the whole "french teacher" and "bio girl" part lol.

And The Birds and the Bees just had me cracking up. It was funny, yet very sweet. Imaging Pony's facial expressions as a 10-year-old really had me laughing.

All in all, I enjoyed it a lot. I can't to see more from you.

I loved and hated this one shot - thought the characters came across as complex and interesting and spot on. Thought the story read like it had hidden depth. Loved Pony's interaction with his friends and classmates, thought the way he slowly realised they might actually not hate him, but admire him was very well executed and naturally done. I didn't want this one shot to stop. The reason I hated it? purely selfish - makes me realise how long I have to go - if i can go there - to do anything close to as good.

Aw, both these stories were so sweet! I loved The Chaperone, mainly because of Pony's description of why he found the stars so magical. That was really well done. The Birds and The Bees was also really sweet. You made Pony into the sweetest kid, and he really was a kid, you know? That's always been exactly how I imagined Pony when he was younger. I'm also a sucker for Pony-Darry brotherly bonding moments, so maybe that's why I'm crazy over both these stories. Really well done!

PS. This you're gonna write another any time soon?

At last! A Darry fic where we see he has other interests then the gang, that he's a young man still! Your characterisation of Darry is great because you show the juxtaposition of his responsibility and duty to his brothers and yet shows his youth at the same time.
This has made me laugh and is a great humorous portrayal of Darry.
