To be honest, this story was a perfect illustration of the intense confusion, pain, sorrow, hate, and self-loathing that not just the Hatake father and son but countless others who will remain nameless to all but God. Great job.

Whoa! You gave me chills, and my windows were all shut. Man, the perfect comparisons and wordplay made everything so bittersweet and wry. So... sad, and it's as if the reader and the characters just realised the irony and tragedy of their situations, and they've also realised that they can't do anything about it.

They seem so helplessly caught, and enough said, it was great to read.

This is, in short, breath-taking.

I love how you compared Sakumo and Kakashi like that; how they're so alike, yet polar opposites at the same time. How times had changed and attitudes had changed, yet history still wound up repeating itself in some bizarre ironic way.

This is wonderful and it gave me goosebumps reading it. I've never read a fic where Sakumo's character is delved into so thoroughly, and even though not all of the facts you mentioned are canonically backed up, they seem like it to me.

wow. Just...wow. This is really good. You have to feel for the genuises (Genuisie?) in the shinobi world. They grow up, and they can't make mistakes, most of them lose their childhood, and heaps of them have some tragic backstory. Plus, they usualy come from a family of them, so they get compared to the rest of their family/their dad. So sad.

It's so wonderful!
