Balin Lord of Moria 10/24/12 . chapter 1Very good. I love the Valar and Maiar, but I have a special affection for these lesser Valier in this fanfic, especially Vána, Nessa, and Estë. I like to believe that they and the other Ainur actually exist as semi-divine angels of God (Eru), since Tolkien said that his stories came from God instead of from his own thoughts. Very spiritual, too. Congratulations! |
mistrali 9/4/12 . chapter 1This is beautiful. The lesser Valier always need more love. :D |
Raging Pineapples 7/25/09 . chapter 1A pleasure to read ) |
Ren 7/15/05 . chapter 1 What can I say? Short, simple, sweet, and leaves me with a warm feeling. Here, Here! |
Yyunesprith 4/6/05 . chapter 1 Aw... |
Raven Aorla 3/27/05 . chapter 1I like it very much. A short but worthy poetic tribute. |
Vaneria Potter 3/16/05 . chapter 1How very true. I love this. |
Werecat99 3/8/05 . chapter 1I loved that. It was deep and beautiful and definitely a different take in Tolkien's theology. I particularly loved the term "household gods", as in the deitis that take care of the "little thing": the child who has mumps, the plow that broke, the restless livestock. A joy to read, as always. |
Mirfein 3/8/05 . chapter 1This is a nice theme, very rarely played upon. I love the beauty of the simplicy and truth of the words. It rests the mind. I also love the last line. Perfect closure. Mirfein |
Vana Tuivana 3/7/05 . chapter 1Ah, how pretty. I applaud you for bringing the kind of quiet, simple dignity and power that they deserve to these ignored Valier. "We move our world in little ways, but when our brothers and greater sisters have done their work, we shall keep it whole." I did enjoy this little drabble. Nice writing! |
