Hey, hey not bad, pal. Pretty good stuff. Franklin's character was very well played out. At first I was afraid you were going to leave him blank, but I really liked it. Nice team up, too. Fury, Widow, and I wasn't expecting Elektra or Sable. I've honestly never heard of Shotgun, though. I'll have to look him up. Great action scenes, and Frank's interrogation was pretty good too. Daredevil's little cameo bringing Elektra & Widow together was a nice little piece. It really helped keep the universe together in a way. I felt that the villains weren't fleshed out enough, though. No background for Tatamovich, the wannabe Kingpin, left me wanting a bit. And the style of a new sentence every line was a bit annoying. It made the story seem longer than it was. And don't be afraid to include a bit of setting information (buildings, state of the rubble, etc) just to give the calmer scenes a bit more character. Overall I did really enjoy the story and I look forward to reading "Attack of the Vampire Ninja of the Yakuza." Sounds a bit whacky for a Punisher fic, but I'm still excited. If you want to comment, just send me a message.

"The city was still reeling from all the chaos and carnage" Frank Castle was right, this was an "ugly one", but somehow beautiful in its ugliness. Very realistic, very much a Punisher for today, like the one portrayed now in the comics. But, holy cow, this sucker screams sequel. Pun behind bars? That's always fun!! ;)

Thought I forgot this fic? Think again. ;)

The Punisher, Fury, Widow, Elektra, Silver Sable... quite an impressive cast you've assembled here. I'm reminded of former Nightwing fanficcer Darth Yoshi and some of his stellar casts. You assemble and weave them together as he did, with that type of skill that is rare like pots of gold at the end of rainbows.

All in all, I'd say you've got my favorite gun toting anti hero down pat: his narrative style, his cast, the situations he finds himself in, etc. Hopefully I can finish this tale before the end of the month.

A nice story with some touching plots. Too bad the emotions did not get flashed out more, and there seems to be a inconsistancy on the arrangement of weapons. Still a good story, and I wish you write more on the Punisher.

I've always wanted to try my hand at a Punisher fanfic, but now I don't have to because you've nailed the character (and his supporting cast) so well that I can just sit back and enjoy the ride. A most excellent fanfic. Where do I go to get a 'torture technician' diploma? ;)

Looking forward to sitting down with the coming chapters.

I have been reading fan fiction on and off for several years now and this is by far one of the best I have ever read. (Also, this is the first review I've ever bothered to write, go ahead feel honored.) I recently stopped collecting comics after 20+ years due to lack of orginality and old stories being rehashed to seemingly new readers. This Punisher story reminds me of why I began to read comics as a kid. You did an excellent job and I look forward to reading more of your work. You have a great ability to incorporate modern events to classic story lines and make it fresh and enjoyable. Whne you are published I will certainly be there to buy your work. Any plans to write a sequel in which Frank escapes and continues his war on crime. I think you could write an excellent conclusion to the Punisher's "death". As you noted in the story his life ended 30 years ago, you could end his death in a very well written fashion.

I've been thinking of buying some of Garth Ennis's Punisher TPB's, but they're wicked expensive (at least here in Canada they are). Turns out I don't need 'em since I have this to read and God knows it's probably just as good. Frank, Matt, Fury, the gang's all here! So far I'm not only hooked but immensely entertained.

All the best

Good Job enjoyed it immensely five stars dude. Thanks for the shot even that would put Castle down for a bit.
Can't wait for the Solo team up that you mentioned a while back.

You've really cooked up a real interesting story so far, Blackstone. The plot thickens. I will read more!

Well, the story has come to an end; great final chapter. brutal, dramatic, everything I've come to expect from you're writing. And an excellent epilogue which was a nice 'calm-down' bit after the brutal mauling that was the final chapter, and gave me a chance o reflect on the story as a whole. Franklin was a great character, just hope we'll bump into him again someday. Looking forward to 'Hunters and Killers 2' ;)

Dear Black

Often I have experienced, especially in the newer Ennis-arcs, well written, suspenseful stories that build op a great plot and then fizzles at the climax, or simply have no climax. And lemme tell ya…And this is defiantly NOT one of them. :)
A mind blowing ending, hectic, lightening-paced, well written as usual, and filled with bullets, blood, banter and character death. Great. Very very great. And a very elegant epilogue, wrapping up the loose ends, while leaving it open for more later on. Particularly Franklins’ inner battle with the horrors he has faced and his doubt in what is right and wrong is probably the best part of the entire story. It was just so –right- the description, the timing, everything. Giving him PTSD also make him seem entirely more human, and thus much more intriguing. Truly something to remember.

And allow me to congratulate you on finishing your story. Very few fan-fic writers have the creativity and talent to finish such a long and memorable story; me being one of them. I consider this to be the ultimate Punisher fan-fic, the very best I have ever read, and I’m almost sad to see it completed. No more new chapters to look forward to in the future. But trust me; should you decide to start another writing project, you can count on me being on the spot with reviews, praise and maybe constructive criticism.

Very well done. :)
