i'm not fond of 2nd person narratives, and almost skipped out on this story when i saw that's what this is. but i'm a huge fan of manticore-centered fics, so i gave it a chance. not bad, overall. interesting to see the escape from the viewpoint of someone who didn't make it out. the whole rather die than go back bit worked too, especially since manticore is supposed to be such a horrid place.

It might be just htat my brain is numb from reading too much Gone With the Wind, but i didn't get the end. *shrugs* otherwise I thought that it was good
