(chuckles) I laughed many times reading this, especially with the later chapters when Hak Fu shows up and Valmont de-petrifies. It's a really fun fic - I will admit, I entered this with some minor expectations of squickiness, though your note in the first chapter was greatly encouraging (hence the making it to chapter 7). I'm really glad you put that note in, because I would have really missed out if I'd not read this. I love how you're characterizing Jade - so very much herself from the show, yet obviously more mature and older and such. Valmont's been fun, too, for what we've seen of him - it'll be interesting to see how being a statue for 7 years has and hasn't affected him. I know it's been awhile since this updated, but apparently there've been gaps in updates for this fic before, you're still writing and posting other stuff on this site, and you stated in earlier chapters that you want to finish it, so I'm hoping you continue it. Because it's a wonderful story, and I'm sure there's quite a few people (myself included) who are hoping to find out what happens next! Again, great story! :)

I fucking love this story!

I really have to say, this is my favorite Jackie Chan Adventures story of all the ones I've read so far (and that's at least 20-30 by now). Though the interaction between Jade and Valmont has been limited to the most recent chapter, your descriptions of the characters are so spot-on that I can visualize every single scene in this story, and every line actually being said by each character. I don't think I've ever encountered a story from this series or any other where the characters, despite being thrown into unnatural situations, are so convincing. Things aren't moving too quickly between them, and the Jade that you portray fits exactly with my own view of what a future Jade would be like. Your Valmont, of course, is just like he is in the show, since he can't have changed too much as a statue. Your writing style is excellent, just decorated enough to give the story flavor, and not at all cluttered with unnecessary descriptions.

All in all, I really enjoyed reading this story, and it's too bad that you haven't finished it since I'm definitely hooked. I eagerly anticipate your next update, though, and I hope that you won't be discouraged by the fact that you haven't updated this story in a while. I know how difficult it is to start a shelved story again, but I hope you find some inspiration to do so since in my opinion this is one of the best JCA stories out there.
