Gah the opening! The slow burn into how they're dealing with the girl's death and being unable to stop it and how much that tears them up... to the slow burn of that sensual undercurrent neither can fight is just a great series. I adore watching them banter back and forth about the past, too - from the Ranger suits to who was staring at who in the Juice Bar.

LOL And she may have shown off for him... but like he didn't do the same thing ;)

I'm very pleased Tommy is so positive about the differences between loving somebody and being "in love" because it means less angst there! E!

Oh, the ambush was written amazingly! I could see it as it panned out - the way you describe the technology and weaponry is making me jealous.

I like that they're also running into problems living together. It's not all rainbows and puppies - it's good to see somebody acknowledge that.

*grins* He's explaining the game and for some reason I get the feeling she already knows and is having a blast. I love to do that to my guy friends (well, the newer ones, who don't expect it).

It's so awesome that you don't have these two just magically going at it after a moment. Yeah, they have that undeniable, mutual attraction, but the fact that they're questioning it speaks wonders for your knowledge of the human psyche and thrills me for what's coming up. This promises to be a very satisfying, beautifully-written wild ride with a decent amount of mind-**ery thrown in there.

I rather enjoyed the reasoning behind The Letter, too. It made really good sense.

The Jason/Kat appeal here was really strong from the beginning - mutually avoiding while mutually feeling the other out. Kat's closing line at that scene was really hard-hitting, too... and just what every Tommy/Kim fangirl loves to hear!

*snickers* And from the first, Kim plays the "possessive wife" role very well, hehehe

Okay, I actually gasped when the dude unveiled the teleportation thing - I didn't see it coming at all!

Oh gez, the sparks between Tommy and Kim could fuel teleportation itself... or at least teleport them places they're not ready for yet! That kiss was so hot and delicious and spine-tingling and so hard to deduce if it's because she wants to or if she just had to prove a point or both xD Oh geez, and that parting shot...

The tension just may give me a heart attack!!

..damnit you're too good at switching emotions quickly like this. TENSION TENSION TENSION -cssh- fighting over ice cream. It's like when my husband changes the channel halfway through an episode of NCIS to go to The Daily Show and normally I would punch him for this but I can't punch you because you're on the other end of the internets and damnit I love how you use it because it's keeping me on edge!!

Just finished chapter one of this - I wanted to read through your one-shots and stuff first, but I saw the images made for this at the forum and had to find it next.

OH MY GOD I'M SO GLAD I DID.

Seeing as how these chapters (at least the first one, I haven't gone any farther yet) are absolutely, sinfully, blissfully long, I may be reviewing each chapter (if I can tear myself away enough to do so).

For this first chapter - I've been watching the early seasons of the show and watching the pre-Tommy episodes so I guess it's getting a bit easier for me to see Kim/Jason... although your description of them here, with Kim thinking she sometimes still can't see him that way, is fabulous. You write women so well (with all our quirky logic and silly thoughts and jumping-from-one-topic-to-another-like-we're-on-crack-ishness) that sometimes you make me wonder if you have some secret mind-reading device.

Please don't tell me if you do. For the sake of real-life, I'll have to find you and destroy it and it would ruin my day because it would be a blow to the fanfic community ;)

Anyway - I digress. The introduction to this is perfect. The nitty-gritty realism, just-about-post-apocalyptic setting instantly drew me in and I can wait to read more, so I'll probably stop blabbering now and get to the next chapter.

Side note - as a 5'2" person, the "yet it can't make me any taller" line had me cracking up. <3 it!

I just recently stumbled across your work when I decided to relive my childhood by watching old MMPR episodes on YouTube and got nostalgic for my favorite couple. I've read all of your fics including T/K and love them. It's so nice to see someone looking at them from a realistic and adult perspective. Also, quite sexy.
I decided to review on this particular one cause you've left us hanging and I'm dying to know what happens next. It's so interesting to see our favorite heroes go from cheesy rubber-suited monsters to a sort of realistic action/thriller genre. As a Sci-Fi fan as well it's appreciated.
Your characterizations are also amazingly done- taking away from the rather 2-d children's show characters to people who have real thoughts and emotions, and flaws. And you do this without losing the essence of the characters we all remember. Thanks for writing :)

I got to read the previews while you wrote it, but the complete chapter is AMAZING!!
