Haunting. And profound. This is an insightful exploration of that statement of Dumbledore's. I like how you portray his childhood at the orphanage,, the little detaials of the funeral. Especially the orphan-mother. She is perfect.

This is an excellent piece. I love the images of the orphan's funeral, and how they end up twisting in the mind of Tom Riddle. And the ending--is he actually able to defeat his fear or not? We'll never know I guess. Great job!
