Liked this chapter- although, I don't know. Hermoine seemed a bit too accepting of his running out on her. I kind of expected her to be either ** or questioning.

Loved the portrayl of the Dursleys, and I wonder how Hermoine will react when she finds how little Harry eats...

You really do do a good job of showing how withholding food is pretty damn abusive. A lot of fics mention it, but few make it hit home.
