Must of missed this the first time around, but I have to say I liked it alot. Parker's first name was nice, the dancing in public was great, but I really liked her shutting her feelings off and walking away (must be in one of my angst kind of moods today). Finally I'm now really curious about the other chapter that you mentioned in the A/N, but I guess I'll just have to trust your judgement.
