Lightspire 2008-05-31 ch 12,	abuseNice story. The characters seem... a little wooden to me, though. It's all just so terribly serious. While that's easily overlooked, there's one thing I don't like. Akane is ALMOST a black belt in unarmed, but a master of the naginata? That's a bit out of left-field for me. As a reader, I don't buy it. If she spends her time breaking bricks, cutting boards, etc. , when does she practice her "masterful" skills with a bladed object? Besides the fact that she's apparently exceptional at math, as well, being able to keep up in class when her mind is elsewhere... I can understand that you've "powered up" all the characters a bit, but they're all very... "hoity-toity..." It just feels like they all need to get the stick out of their butts. Besides that, it's good.

I believe part of the reason this story is so good is that though it goes back over the begning story of ranma it does not rehash what we allready know but builds a new story based on the characters we know and shows how they are altered by a major change to our lead. The story is still as amusing and entertaining as the original but is original and stands on its own. I want to say more but don't know how so will just add thank you for a great story and please continue.

Michael The-Zorch Haney 2008-03-26 ch 12,	abuseVery interesting story. There aren't many of the Blind Master Ranma type fan fics around. You have fallen into the same kind of cliche trap that a lot of fan fiction writers seem to fall into these days, though. Its not quite as bad as what I've seen from other authors but it gets a little annoying after a while since its way too far out of character for her to be that volatile. Even in the Manga, which I've read several times over from volume 1 to 38, she isn't like that. Some facts about Akane: 1. Akane does have a nasty tempter but she does fly off into blind rages nor does she attack someone she doesn't know out of the blue. 2. Akane would have her usual allergic reaction to Ranma and Nabiki cuddling as she does with most things that are even slightly perverted, she wouldn't attack Ranma especially if he's holding Nabiki in his arms, and she'd most likely call them both perverts and stomp away fuming. 3. Akane can eventually see reason, she isn't stupid nor is she living in her own fantasy world like Kuno. I just have a problem with Akane Bashers (as well as Knights of the True Fiance), not saying you are one but I wanted you to know you are falling into that same "Akane is a homicidal nutjob" mode that too many other fan fics of lesser quality seem to fall into. While you do need a Beta Reader (who am I to talk, I make grammar screw ups too) your stories are very entertaining. You're writing, despite the errors, is better than that. I really like what you did with Nodoka in the story. I have NO problem with Genma Bashing. :-) I like the idea of her being the master of her own fighting style using the Katana. You might also want to touch more on why Ranma is so open to the idea of marrying Nabiki and why he doesn't think girls are weak in this story. In canon he is something of a Chovanist Pig thinking girls are the weaker sex and refuses to hit Akane in training because of this. It was his father who drilled these ideas into his head. Perhaps you can mention in a flashback sequence Ranma at the temple where he learned the Blind Art while he is receiving a special "lesson" which begins to change his opinion of girls. I also like the fact that while Ranma seems comfortable with his female self he's still unnerved by certain things ("butt floss"). On a last note I like what you did with Kasumi, not once have I ever read or heard described about Kasumi as being any more "relaxed" then when she was at home doing chores or cooking (other then the occasional vacation).
