This is one of the ones I always come back to. I love how you write these two, I love the little peeks into John's past.

"That hour the son of a ** actually had Zelenka followed me around and talk about him. Nonstop."

And Zelenka. Oh, Zelenka. Hee.

It just really can't get any better than this. Smart, funny, touching, everyone is...not just in-character, but more-so. It's that little extra dimension that fanfic ideally adds to the picture...and what you add is just wonderful.

And of course, a bleeding John Sheppard doesn't hurt. ^^
I will probably keep coming back to reread in the future. Thank you for your contribution to the fandom...it really is something special. Cheers.

Came via a stargateficrec review on livejournal. So worth it.

This was a great look into Sheppard's mind and viewpoint on Rodney and everyone he's lost in the past. Great blends of angst and humour are difficult to achieve. Loved your Zelenka. You hit Carson bang on. And then there's Rodney of the constant hair cracks. Absolutely loved the image of him blowing up some bully's car in high school.

Well done.

I enjoyed this look inside John's head, and at his mental closet of boxed ghosts.

I also really enjoyed the interaction between John and Rodney, and the light touches of humour that keep things from becoming too dark. For example, Zelenka speculating that as Rodney named his dog, Schroedinger, perhaps Rodney had named the cat, Pavlov. And where John confirms that killing Zelenka would be bad by stopping in to chat with Father Malloy. Those moments made me laugh out loud.

And, hee, Rodney was wearing John's T-shirt in the alien dream!Earth. Rodney *really* loves that shirt, doesn't he.

I followed a recomendation to this wonderful story. I love you Rodney/John banter - It's perfect. Now I must hurry off and read the rest!

I've been reading your whole Geeks and Goons series today and gotta say I'm loving them, I really like your characterisation, but I had to review this story in particular because FINALLY someone pointed out how absolutely god-awful John's tracksuit ensemble from Home was!

OMG. The first chapter death scenes make me melt into a puddle of goo. So sorry Rodney, I love you. Truly. They were...perfect. And Rodney doggely dogging Sheppard in the second chapter was great, especially with Zelenka helping out. =D And the fact that Rodney got clocked... keke

Hi, I'm reading the entire series, but I decided to take a break and review this one for two reasons.

Firstly. "pulled a Gall" - this just struck me as really sad, that people dying is so commonplace that John has a term for when people shoot themselves.

Secondly. "John Jacob Jingleheimerschmidt" - why is this ringing bells in my head? Damnit. I have no idea where that's from, but I know I've heard it!
