You've given Ace and Luffy a really plausible background, and explained Shanks' connection to them so well, it could almost be part of the series. Though I personally prefer to believe Shanks isn't related to them (I'm not sure why, but there you go). And here's some MAJOR nitpicking - Buggy tells us that Shanks has always worn a straw hat. You may ignore that if you like - it's the sort of scrutiny I subject my own work to, which is why it sometimes takes me ages to write anything. I think you write Ace best - bless him, what a lovely little boy! And you do Shanks extremely well too. You seem to be one of those fairly rare writers who does those two in character, rather than going down the predictable old route of just writing about how cool they are, and how well they fight. I will definately be reading your other fics! |
