I also think the only way to develop a Folken/Hitomi love story is slowly and carefully. I'm definitely interested in seeing how things develop... you do have to pity Van a LITTLE, just because he won't be able to have Hitomi... but, on the other hand, a whole lot of people can be saved this way. It will be difficult balancing that kind of angst, especially because Hitomi will be (might be?) fully aware of the "alternate" future.

And yeah, I know you haven't updated this in two years, and I'm very sad. :( This is a great "what-if" fic, in my opinion, and I wish you would consider continuing it...

Yes, Falken IS a tragic character.

I am SUCH a sucker for non-canon, "travel back in time to fix the future" fics... but I must admit that I hadn't thought of Hitomi and a YOUNG Folken together before reading your "what if" intro. And it doesn't hurt that your writing is excellent! It's so rich... there is detail, beauty, and emotion. *clap clap*

Oh please continue, I beg of you to update this fic, don't let it die, NO!

That was VERY well written; it is very rare that I find a good Escaflowne F/H fic. Personally I prefer Folken/OC (namely my OC *cough* ahem)

Anyways... ^.^

I love your idea, very original and please keep writing. I kind of gave up on Escaflowne fanfictions for a while because all I could find were slash Folken/Dilandau.

*suspicious eye darting* Not that there's anything wrong with that...he, he, he, 0_o

But you can only read so much of the same story, ne?

My only complaint is the over description, just tone done the reference to 'chocolate orbs' and the spacing between those great horking paragraphs, and I'll be okay.

and please take that as constructive criticism, I know how much it sucks to get a bad review :P

You're absolutely write, there should be more Folken/Hitomi's fic. I mean if there's Sesshoumaru/Kagome, why can't there be F/H. Folken is so hot looking and I would wish for you to update this, it's most interesting and hope you plan to go on and don't discontinue.

*Nods in agreement* I know what you mean. The first time I saw the scene when they're by the fountain. I was like Dude, Folken's just like Sesshy and Hitom's like Kags. Hmm, some of the characters act just like Inuyasha charaters. I mean, doesn't Van act just a tad bit like Inu-chan, or is it just me? ^_^ Anyway great job with the fic! I can't wait to see Hitomi interact with the other ,younger, characters.

I'm all for your idea! Hopefully F/H will grow just like S/K. Hmm maybe I should write an F/H. It'd proably have the humor genre in it though. I can't seem to write anthing that doesn't have humor. It'd proabably be bad anyway.

I like what you've done so far, and I too was definitely disappointed with Folken's death, if not for the stupid way his own sword killed him. Not the whole sword either, just the freakin' tip of it. And such a lovely, mysterious character. I always loved Folken. Paul Dobson's voice acting helps... Anyway, thank you for writing a Folken/Hitomi, and it seems that you're willing to pace it the correct way so as not to rush things. For that I thank you! I look forward to reading more of this, to see how you do more interactions and stuff, but so far everything looks lovely. Keep writing. I love this couple!

Oh, wow- This looks really promising. I hope that you plan to continue. The only thing I would suggest is concentrating a little more on organization- you're writing is very good, but it gets a little chaotic some times. Other than that, wonderful! Thanks so much for taking the time to write.
