Interesting short.

I can only say one thing: tragic beauty. It's so tragic that this is the only thing that lets them have a minute of peace from all of their troubles, but so beautiful that they spend that time together sincerely wanting the other to have peace. This is one of my most favorite stories, short as it is, because it is so heartachingly true of any band of travellers on a mission to find an escape, whether through the use of drugs or some other vice. Kagome and Miroku decided to use their bodies. So poignant and rich.

So emotional in a way.

I can't believe what a massive tale you were able to weave in such a small ficlet. This was written amazingly well. The way the relationship between Miroku and Kagome formed was so, well, unexpected, I guess. The rawness of their coming together, I mean. It was humans at their most open, most vulnerable. The truth beneath outer veneers.

In just a few paragraphs you gave an immense amount of depth to these two, showed a believable other side to them, and made me feel like I was peeking in at things I have no business knowing. Eavesdropping, in a sense, on two people's innermost thoughts and feelings. Thoughts and feelings they don't really want shared, or are unable to share, with anyone else. Heck, I felt like a total spy, lol. Wonderfully moving piece of work.

The twisted way you wrote this story really got to me. I mean, I had never ever thought of Miroku (or Kagome, for that matter) like this, and after having read it, I find myself having more of a general appreciation for the pairing.

And so, I favourite this story!! There's something about it that's just so different, it's amazing.

Wow. Thats...wow. The meaning behind all that. It's...deep. I now have a new appreciation for the modern day troubles. This was eye-opening. That sounds kind of chiche, I know, but it makes so much sense for the situation. Keep up the wonderful work.

I like your Miroku/Kagome stuff. It's not entirely happy, but then it never would be. I like how you end his relationship with Sango in both this and Time- two ways in which him taking up Kagome would be believable. And I like your insight into her character, something a percpetive person watching the anime would be able to tell... And your writing style rocks too.

Wow, another one I missed. I truly enjoyed this little one-shot and hated that it was so short, but was well worth the read.
