I love how you made Vader's self hatred his way of repaying Padme. So sweet!

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed this story. You do an excellent job of portraying Vader's torment and regret, and I was moved by the image of Vader standing in front of his wife's memorial, after so many years.

His self-hatred is especially interesting; I find it intriguing that he loathes Anakin as a twisted way of 'honoring' Padmé's memory. Obi-Wan claimed that Vader was more machine than man, but I love how you show his humanity slowly reasserting himself over time. It makes him so much more interesting.

Anyway, between this and "Anniversaries of the Heart," you definitely have become one of my favorite Star Wars authors. Keep on writing about the Vader angst, please!
