I thoroughly enjoyed reading your story, I thought you had both Sands and El down pretty pat, they can both be manipulative and neither of them are 'good', but at least one of them is trying . . .

The priest was a convincing and sympathetic character, poor man, he must wonder why he ever came to this parish! I do think of El as a somewhat lapsed Catholic, and I can see Sands being prepared to take what he wants and nothing more from any religious set up.

This is written with a lovely intensity, and is very erotic (where it's meant to be). I do have to regard it as fairly AU - not just because of Sands' eyes (*g*) but because I just can't see El as all that Catholic when he's so cheerfully sacriligious in Desperado (parodying confession in the church with Buscemi!). But I'm always going to love any well-written contest of wills and mind games between El and Sands, and this fic has a fantastic angle on both of them. Thanks!

That was odd. I mean, the first two were... sorta sweet, nice, even with Sands being, you know, insane. This one was totally different, in a good way of course, but what a suprise! All in all I congratulate you on a most excellent trilogy.

I haven't got much to say, but I figure why not leave a review huh? heh.

I am a Christian and as such I believe that homosexuality is a sin. The bit that I have trouble with is 'where is the line' I mean, is it wrong to just be attracted? How can you -not- just glance up at someone and apreciate how they look or move or their voice or whatever? And if it is spesifically -the act- of homosexual sex then are Vampires homo (or bi) sexual? Cause without a functioning circulatory system it wouldn't be possible...well for two males anyway.

I do remember something in the Bible about -lusting- after someone of your same sex as being the bit that was wrong, but where does it become 'lust'? Obviously there was lust here, but...it wasn't for -another man- so much as what the other person, who happened to be a man, represented. But they sis go through with -the act- too.

I did however really like the mind-games that you depicted. I love psychological realism. And Snads was definately not ooc. El too was realistically conflicted; I would hope that moral certainty and faith would prevail, but since he was giving in it made sense to have the conflict deepen the way it did.

The fic could have been less graphic in the sexual episodes and I would have apreciated it more, I don't want to read graphic sex of any sort. ...and I'm gonna have to keep thinking about the Vampire question.

Disturbing, but good. And I find myself wondering if your pen name is meant to be in any way ironic, because if there are two words I *wouldn't* use to describe this one... ;)

Hoping there's another story in the works to follow this one. It feels like there's more to be told; another place for these two characters to reach. (Write more! I'm snowbound in April and need entertainment.)

Fascinating story - hard to read in some spots (always have had a problem w/non-consensual sex); but this was well-handled in the context of the story... Your writing of the priest made him a wise and compassionate man of the cloth - Bravo! Sands' and El's complex relationship continues to evolve - and I continue to admire your writing more and more... Again - Brava!
