You're incorrect. While for some planes the pilot has to be in front, the F-15E (as is common for most modern combat aircraft) is designed to be flown by either the pilot or the WSO. While Jack is usually in the front seat pilot position, he's put Daniel up front so he can watch him.

I always knew Daniel was a secret adrenalin junky, this was great - loved the imagery.

My dad took my for a ride in a fighter, not sure what it was, but i was like daniel.
i also own my first harley, so, i kinder know how jack feels, yes, it it awsome.
This fic was amazing, the connection that Jack has with his toys. Wow.
