I loved the fight scene! It seemed like something right off the show!

Everybody (well, ok, Aang wasn't in it that much) was perfectly in character! And I loved Zuko's last bit at the end! I can almost seen an episode or deleted scene ending that way.

Yeah, that's about the most interactive I'd expect Katara and Zuko to be. Very nice, very descriptive, very clever battle scene. Because Avatar isn't just about the romance, right? In fact, that's a fairly minor part. Very good point with this story.

This was a good story.
It was all very descriptive and I could see the battle scenes and the scenery perfectly as I read it.
I loved Katara's eventual gun-ho attitude with the knife - gotta give her props for that one.
Other than a few spelling mistakes, I couldn't see a single mistake with this. Good job!

You certainly set up your story to fool any Zutara fan into thinking they were in for another one of those craptastic, poorly written romances they devour eagerly. I like how you wrote the fight scene (WAY better than what I try), but what I love the most is how you kept Zuko and Katara in character. I, too, think this would be more likely to bloom than love.

Almost all Zutara fanfiction is a complete and utter load of crap... even a Mary Sue story is better than the one millionth craptastic Zutara fic, if you ask me. Zuko and Katara don't even go together very well. It is, however, as a writer, fun to play around with the characters and see who would be compatible. However, I hate the pairing more because of the way the fans behave. Zutara fans act too much like the Extremely Pretentious NaruSaku Fan Club (from the Naruto fandom) for my liking, and I think Aang and Katara deserve each other. They have so much chemistry it's scary.

This is truly a diamond in the rough. It's as brilliant as your work on Deviantart.

I just wanted to tell you that you are being loved - no, praised. You, like Bumi, are a mad genius. This story, as well as your other stories and your artwork on Deviantart, is true art, my friend. After digging through all the craptastic Zutara fics that are the Avatar fanfiction page (similar to the ten million SasuNaru crapfics that spam the Naruto page), I can truly say this was a rare gem, a diamond in the rough. If there were more stories like this, I might not hate Zutara so much. Then again, maybe not, as most Zutara fans I see behave similarly to what I call the Extremely Pretentious NaruSaku Fan Club. They act like they know everything and think those who disagree with them are going straight to heck. Only, they show a great deal less maturity than the EPNSFC does. I'll elaborate more on the greatness of this awesome story when I can leave you a real review.
