 Virety-Enten 2009-10-22 . chapter 8this is my favorite chapter.I felt it so hard. |
kininu 2009-09-23 . chapter 13 I have been reading Sesshomaru and rin fanfictions for 5 years now so I know what is good and your story is… THE MOST INCREDIBLE WORK OF ART I have ever had the plusher to read! I am completely floored. |
Muzixfox 2009-09-06 . chapter 5I adore this story! It is such a well written piece, and I cannot wait to see more from you. |
Opacus 2009-05-30 . chapter 11This totally deserves a sequel, but I have no idea what else could be added to an already great story. Kept me up two hours after intended sleep time, so I really should be going to bed so I can go to work tomorrow. Nice work. |
Felling 2009-03-22 . chapter 11No words. I'm out. This was perfect I will say at the most and I'm not just throwing words around for the hell of it. I was sincerely surprised at this. Plot line, Character development, your writing skill, everything just dragged me in and attacked. Sesshoumaru and Rin are my favorite couple and have been for a few years, so this was great to see a decent fanfic for them. The length was great also. Everything was great. I was completely satisfied, and on that note, I speak of how sad I am to have finally finished, yet so glad to have discovered the story. Best of luck to your future fanfics, (Maybe even another Sess/Rin? :D)~ -T.M |
Astarte Kaname 2008-08-07 . chapter 13this one of the few stories that captivated me, I had in a strange way the same feallings I had when I read Shogun by James Clavel or the "Vampire Chronicals" by Anne Rice. The creapy feeling of lonlynness and fear the same with the one Bacovia's poems gave, the happiness Nora Robert's book's make me feel, I'm not very sure you will understand what i mean, but i hope you'll get the esential. God you're such a great writter... i can only dream being like you... |
 SpazzChicken 2008-07-07 . chapter 13Amazing work! :D
Usually I don't read fics where Rin is a warrior because they usually twist sweet Rin into something unbelievable. But this fic... I was caught from the first... Everything was written with such talent and important details weren't skipped over. You turned Rin into a complex character and gave her motivation. The dark angst was so frustrating--I kept wanting Sess to burst in & save poor Rin T_T But the sweet chapters afterwards of Sess trying to win Rin over were well worth it :D
Woo for writing something so amazing! |
Cadaverous Apples 2008-04-08 . chapter 13Returning to write a review for one of the best fanfic's I've read in ages.
It's so hard to find a decent fanfic after you've been on here for ages and you're under the impression that you've read all that need to be read of value on this site. And then, you find little (or not so little) stories like yours that give me hope that there actually still ARE good fanfics out there. This is just absolutely wonderful.
This idea is just so completely original. I had never even considered the thought that Sesshoumaru would use Rin as his deadliest weapon--usually, I don't think she takes that kind of role in many of the other fanfics. Yet you make it believable and normal at the same time. I also love the fact that you essentially just kept it between Rin and Sesshoumaru. You felt no need to drag in any of the more main characters--such as Kagome, Inuyasha, Miroku, or Sango (although there were a few references)-- to ruin the simplicity of such a relationship.
I find it quite odd that just recently I've found Adult Swin replaying some Inuyasha episodes, so I felt the need to refresh myself since I hadn't watched one in ages, and the ones that they played were actually the ones involving the Underworld and Housenki. So it was pretty awesome that you had all the references to the anime and I actually knew what you were talking about. :D
I don't really know what else to say. Usually, I'd have a lot more, but I read it last night, and I can't remember what I was thinking except "most effin amazing fanfic ever." Truly mind-blowingly wicked. |
Cadaverous Apples 2008-04-06 . chapter 2Gah this is so wonderful.
This is only just a reminder to myself to finish reading this when I have more time. And to do a proper review, since this is just a lame-o one. ;) |
SweetAyu 2008-01-26 . chapter 11The pearl, was a beautiful piece to read and I thank you for writing such a wonder piece of art. This was a great history for a Sessh/Rin piece. I'll definately stop by to read more of your past works. |
Eleena Chu 2007-08-16 . chapter 10 Hahahaha, he's such a spaz like here, a little cut from YOUR story chapter 10
Rin held a lone piece of beef before her lips, readying her mouth to open and take the food in. She could choke on that meat right now, and die, the dog demon realized angrily. He wanted to protect her—he’d sworn he would when she was in Hell. But he couldn’t very well tell her to never eat again.
Hahaha, like srsly, ordering teh poor girl never to eat again. |
spinx 2007-08-05 . chapter 10 Still the best Rin/Sessy story I´ve EVER read.
Not to mention a fantastic piece of art. I´m not even kiddin'!
Perfectly in character, emotionally charged with a perfect flow.
I can only advice you to keep on writing. Maybe another Rin/Sess story?
One that shows what they´ve been up to after they made another pearl.
Have a good day. |
catinthehat007 2007-08-02 . chapter 10haha yes i loved the bird eating tree, very amusing and so like sess to get so ferociously beautiful thing and think nothing wrong with it. i loved the story. you captured their relationship and developed it well. yay for you:) |
Rashelly 2007-06-22 . chapter 12 this was one of the BEST stories EVER! PLEASE continue to write MORE! ^__^ |
ReverseSide 2007-06-16 . chapter 11Loved the story far too much to be normal. The characters of Rin and Sesshoumaru were well made. I've always been curious of how authors choose to portray Rin, especially 'old' Rin, seeing as how there is not that much information on her. I must say, you created a character that seemed so natural as Rin, that I'm surprised that you haven't been flooded with reviews. This also had perhaps the most original ideas I've seen up to date. The central idea for 'The Pearl' was refreshingly new. I actually read this story a couple of years ago, but was too lazy to review (b/c of dial-up internet 26kps?! It wasn't possible for me to upload reviews). Still, having reread it, I have to say that it's lost none of its appeal the second time around.
The Pearl, with an illuminating narrative, captivating characters, and vivid imagery, manages to capture and hold the reader's attention for many, many hours. If this had been written in the Sengoku Jidai, readers would have been out of money, spending it all on candles.
