That's two for two so far on the great fictions list for you. I can't believe I was really worried, I knew there'd have to be someone talented out there who'd like LoK enough to do it justice!

It's beautifully written, it's language seems so in-tune with Kain and I can definately hear Simple Templeman's voice talking all the way through. My only minor problem with it is that Kain seems a little too sappy. I know he'd be annoyed and upset for having done that to Raziel but maybe this is a little too much?

Aww hell, listen to me rant like I know what I'm talking about! It's top notch, keep up the good work and I'll keep reading through to see some other master pieces of yours.

oh. You can hear Kain speaking throughout almost every line of this, especially in the 'Affirmation and condemnation, shadow and life' bits.

Some damn good stuff in this shortie, missus, notably the idea of vampires knowing their prey at the moment of death, and of course Kain's confession about his epiphany at the end. I alwasy did wonder what he was thinking on that balcony.

So glad you came out of your writing doldrums - and it all it took was two days of writing under the crack of the whip and a bit of nunly torture!
