ok so im beyond impressed with this u manged to make just about every bit of Goofy stuff out there actually fit on one very believable time line & kept goofy goofy while really getting in to the up & down emotions of his life i loved it this is exactly what i was looking for when i went on a goof fic search after watching "an extremely goofy movie" last night so thanks ^_^!

This is great. The story is well established and the central theme of Penny and Goofy's love is creative! The ending was very cute too.

Well, I agree. I wrote a 26 page autobiography on Max Goof and I put his birth as June 22, 1981 because he was 11 when Goof Troop first aired on September 7, 1992. Max Goof rocks and I love him. He shares a spot of first place on my Disney list next to Scrooge McDuck.

Oh man! That was fabulous! And I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who loves "Goofy Universe" :) My endless respect for Your work.

P.S. Any chance that you can drop me AEGM soundtrack (and "Move This Night")? I've really tried to find it on my own, but it turned out to be impossible, especially in my country. Thank You a lot!

*laughing* Wow, all this really was a bit of a mind warp, but it makes sense. I was born in 1983 myself, so I can understand the generation problem you had with placing Max's birth any earlier, or at least he feel of it. And different school boards in the States have different rules, but in CA you can start kindergarten at the age of four as long as you turn five before the turn of the year- that's what I did. So I started high school at the age of thirteen and graduated at seventeen. Of course, when I was in school we started in September, it's now been pushed into the middle of August, which I thought was kooky.

For the second Goofy movie I just figured Disney picked up where they left off like they are wont to do *i.e. Cinderella 2/The Little Mermaid 2*, but that wouldn't fit with the opening song with the kids speaking of "no more algebra tests till September". So, the point of my inane rant is that I agree with you. *grins*

my goodness, you've really done your homework...

very informative piece of work, and although in reality the supposed "divorce" of pete and peg would seem like the way to go... i dunno, it just seems too un-disney. i really think that pete's "free man" line was an honest mistake by the animators, cause it seems awfully uncharacteristic of disney to even cook up a divorce (unless vital to the storyline), let alone not show it at all. for all we know, pistol could be off his hands because she's too busy... voicing bart simpson or something??

i've gotta agree with you, the mona thing was completely uncalled for. they should've kept roxanne. or if they had to change his love interest, it might as well have been... pistol?

This was an excellent story, and I found it very easy to read since there were very few typos and misspellings. I agree with most of your theories, but I only have one qualm: In AEG, Goofy looks really upset what Max asks, "You and your did a lot of things together, huh?" This led me to the conclusion that Goofy's father passed away before the events of AEG, not after as your story said. What do you think?

Looks like you put alot of effort into this fic. I love it! It was so well written and you hardly ever see any good fanfics with Goofy and Max. The part with Penny and the carcrash was a real tear-jerker. I didnt cry, but I wanted to. Oh and good luck finding the AGM soundtrack. I was lucky enough to find a used copy off of in 2003. Oh and about those AEGM mp3s...could you send them to If you can, thanks in advance. (This story is going in my favorites!)

Wow, is all I can say! Absolute fantastic job! Couldn't have done it better myself! This is exactly how it could've played out! And thank you for answering the unanswered in both films (i.e. where Peg and Pistol were in the first, and Roxanne in the second). Only one itty bitty little thing...Waffles the cat? Well, I guess he's not THAT big a deal, but it would've been nice to give him a mention ;-) Anyway, I am adding this to my favorites, because it so rightfully deserves it! Again, excellent job!
