Oh wow. Didn't see that coming. Well, kinda, when it was getting toward the end, but it didn't take away any of the impact. And even putting the twist ending aside it was extremely well written, I was especially impressed by the way you portrayed their interaction and Christine's emotions at the beginning. Well done.

This is by far one of the most beautiful and poigant thing I have read on this site. It was obvious that everything was so meticulous and perfectly crafted. And, as for the story itself: so TRAGIC. I think TRAGIC and Phantom of the Opera go hand in hand, which is often ignored when it comes to fan fiction. However, you do not overlook that. The fact is, the story should not end happily in any aspect. Because...c'est la vie. Christine going mad by the end of it all is exactly correct...and hurray to you for showing that!

Also, your Raoul portrayl at the end there...just, bravo. Just bravo. Absolutely correct and canon.
