I think your writing is good. I also liked the plot line and the pairing. I like Elliot/Casey and also Fin/Casey pairings. I'd love to see subsequent chapters, especially with the rest of the crew continuing their speculation. I liked the fact that who the detective is, isn't revealed until toward the end of the chapter. At first, I thought it was Munch! Ack (I'm not a fan of Munch/Casey, but if it's convincing, I'll read it)! Still, good job!
