(insert fangirl scream) I absolutely ADORE Zell in here. His characterization was handled so perfectly, it was almost as if he was right next to me in the room whilst reading this. Either that, it's almost as if your fic had teleported me into their world, and I'm right there, in the Ragnarok beside Zell, Quistis, Selphie and Irvine, and it's all in all a very very warm feeling that I'm getting.
It's a very thoughtful fic, one that I can imagine COULD have taken place in the Ragnarok considering the gameplay context. Didn't help that you portrayed all of their characteristics so well! Quistis and Selphie playing triple triad quietly..Irvine reading his *ahem* magazine, and Zell being the hyperactive kid fooling about...Aww, what can I say? The snapshot generates such a heartwarming, family feel of the orphanage gang, and coupled with the funny references of their leader Squall "sucking faces" with Rinoa (in Zell's words) somewhere, it was especially memorable to the heart. XD My favorite line in the fic was Kiros' "he's just like you, laguna". Now THAT really made me think about the similarities between the two, which hasn't occurred to me up till this point.

Zell's such a sweetheart, as do the way you've handled the rest perfectly here. Certainly going onto my favorites.

Very interesting--I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next! I love Zell's restlessness and boredom; it seems very in-character.

I like this story. It's in character, especially for Zell. His reactions were great and funny. I wouldn't want to know just what kind of magazine Irvine was reading either. Zell does seem like the kind of guy who would have fun with phone games and prank calls. Showing what was going on at the other side of the line afterwards was a good touch.
