| gldfire 2005-04-15 ch 6, | abuseHi. First of all let me say: Good story. I like it a lot so far. It's only got one major flaw as far as I'm concerned. Having been incapacitated with my left arm in a sling with stitches (and facing having to go through that again in three weeks), I feel that I know what I'm talking about here. Aiden would need a LOT more help when she got home from the hospital (and this is only concerning the injury to her arm). She wouldn't be able to shower until she got her stitches removed since they cannot get wet, and she probably wouldn't be able to even comb her hair out decently or get into any clothes that had zippers or buttons - not to mention putting on socks and shoes that don't slip on. My point is that it's a lot more difficult than just not being able to cut food - and I think your story could benefit from the fact that she needs more help than you're showing she has (unless someone coming over to sponge bathe her and wash her hair for her has been omitted from your writing so far). Other than that, this is a very good story that I hope you continue. It could be a little more realiztic, though. Love, Avi |
