I can't believe someone called this "cute", this is so much better then cute. I'm assuming Grissom's the dad? And is it Jim that's at the door? I really hope it was Jim. I'm usually not one for song-fics but this one I didn't mind. The emotion was very strong, very sad but it's an excellent story and I think you did a wonderful job of portraying frame of mind. I can't imagine Sara calling her baby "Mandy" but all-in-all I think this is a wonderful short story.

Nicely done. The change in format keeps it interesting at the same time gives us some insight without the usual flashback meanderings. And working Sara’s internal debate over her father vs the babies’ father was a good addition.

Just one thing, did I miss something? Did you mean to change the babies name back and forth?
