Oh yes, you should continue. In the summary you said something about there being some amibuity whethere Erik was dead or not . . . I think if you leave it off now, the summary would be misleading. But I loved the first chapter! It was marvelous!

This was so beautiful, and I think you ought to continue it. I'm going to have to find that book and read it. I loved the image (though heartbreaking) of the rain washing the paper white. I always wondered, at the end of the novel, how seeing "Erik is dead" in the newspaper would have affected Christine. I think you've captured it marvelously.
