This story is great! I really liked Kaoru's miso soup and the time in the cabin with Kenshin, Kaoru, and Eiji. The only other comment I have is that I would not have minded the deaths of Gohei and his men. In fact, I would be happy if they were dead. But at least Kenshin didn't break his vow. Keep writing!

I love the story, the characters, the pacing, the dialogue, the setting, or simply said, all the elements of this creation. I encourage you to continue writing and if you may, I hope to read more RK fanfictions from you. There are a handful of writers here in that I admire; you are one of them. I would love to read another work of yours. That being said, again, thanks. Be inspired!

I wish I could've seen this sooner. This is one of the best fic I've read, and not just in the Rurouni Kenshin category, mind you.

I thought the beginning chapters were a bit slow but I realize that the pace was just right to really engrave in our minds the kind of situation and condition Kaoru was in. I also love the way you describe Oni and how you put into words the fear of the people. Superb! Lastly, you write the most amazing metaphors, enough said.

Excellent story I loved it! Read it all in one day woo, i was raptured from the start! I loved how you went about this it was a great plot! Also was just thinking of one thing, the part where Kaoru sees the shadow in the woods when the men are chasing after her when she's escaped...if that;s Kenshinwhy didn't he rescue her then?
