Interesting. Like it. What happens next?

This was a wonderfully crafted short story. Nothing unnecessary, no frills or pat dialogue, just tight plot, clever and true-to-character sequences and exchanges. I liked this line especially: Xelloss rubbed his head lightly, looking as if he had been wrongfully accused of such things. “Uhm, but doesn’t that describe y…” he said.

And I liked the ending. What a brilliant little gem a friend discovered and brought to light!

Love your characterization of Lina, a plausible explanation of what-could-happen-after-Try, and a rich interaction between Lina and Xelloss! I couldn't ask for more! (actually, yes, can you confirm that this is indeed LX fic?)

The title kinda intrigue me though. '1st Lie'?
I couldn't exactly pin-point where in this chapter who lies to whom. I guess it'll be either Xelloss to Lina or vice-versa. But what's the lie? I think the never trust the other party anyway and you cannot being lied to by someone you never trust.

Anyway, great fic! Looking forward for more!
