Nicely done. I quite enjoyed this mix of introspection and angst softened with sweetness. Thank you for writing and posting it :).

As I read through these older Mai Hime fics, I find it intriguing that the earlier ones are much better at capturing the essence of each characters more so than the more recent fics. One would think that after three years of Mai Hime sources such as Drama CDs, that authors would have an easier job of writing the characters. Then again, I think authors now are more likely to have been "tainted" by other Mai Hime fics. With authors adding their own twists to the story and each character, readers can't help but see these twists as canon. In turn, these readers become authors and add these twists as well as their own...and so forth.

So, even though my reviews are years late, I appreciate all you writers who were at the very beginning of the Mai Hime fandom. You had fresh and untainted eyes, as well as a yearning to add to the desperately short moments of ShizNat in Mai Hime.

As for this particular story, which inspired me to write the above, the prose is absolutely beautiful. It was a very poignant and emotional insight in Natsuki's thoughts during those significant moments. You could have told me that this was an official supplement to the anime and I would have believed you.

Anyhow, I hope you are still writing and plan to write more Mai Hime fics. *cough*Calendar*cough*

Wow, what a powerful piece of writing you have here. Excellent stuff, captures the essence of Shizuru's & Natsuki's feelings towards the end of the series really well IMO.

I can only join the choir of praise here. I haven't watched the series yet, but I have read some fanfiction and seen some pics and read a VERY short summary. But the way you write I don't have the feeling I'm missing anything. Really, a wonderful, wonderful read, I enjoyed it very much (I LOVE angst!).

So beautifully written, the entire piece made me want to watch those dark episodes all over angin. My lord, that ending was so sweet!!:D
