Another amazing piece. I love your Sano/Kenshin brotherly-type fanfics. It's great. I don't like S/K yaoi pairings at all. I very much prefer what you have to offer.

I enjoyed this piece. You stayed true to their characters and yet made them your own.

I could... SEE this. The situation, the characters' behavior... I could definitely see this. Your imagery is astonishingly clear and powerful. I love the way you blend the inherent humor of their relationship with Sano's intensity and Kensan's obstinacy. Sometimes it's hard to tell which of those two would win in a contest of wills. Beautifully done!

At the summary, I thought this was going to be pure crack :D

But it turned out to be much different than that! I loved this story Great work!

Good, only thing is Kenshin not trying to find out what happened to the rest of the crew. Liked how you used this set-up without too much unnecessary dialogue which wold have been counter purpose to survival.

It may be based on someone else's work, and I understand your hesitation at leaving it up, but there are so many personal touches and canon-specific details that I really think it would be a pity to take it down. I really enjoyed it, and I'd like to be able to read it again sometime.

Absolutely fantastic fic. I really love how Kenshin can reassure Sano just by saying a few words or being there. Their brotherly relationship is so lovely, haha. Great work with this!

Ah, yes. I've said it before, I'll say it again, and I suspect as I browse your story list I'll say it several more times, but; I am simply enamored of the portrayal you have of the wonderful interaction and relationship of the Sanosuke and Kenshin Friendship.

This was a particularity swaying piece, as I like seeing favorite characters thrown non hard times just to watch their responses. It's the little things that you do though, well in keeping with character, that fascinate me most. For example, Sano in the beginning of the fic, sitting in the boat looking from Kenshin's view frightened. All though our favorite thug never once verbally expressed that. Better though, was Kenshin's genuine response in seeming that he was pleased that if death had to come in such a situation, it would come by the side of a friend.

I just felt that was an interesting summation of both character's world views and their friendship. As was the fantastic insight into their 'family' relationship and Kenshin seeming to finally place himself for the first time as something of a brother role. I like that view, I hadn't thought of it on my own.

In any case, Kenshin's response to this situation on the boat was classic, and bringing in Sano's childhood insecurities about self sacrifice was an impressive touch. I really was captivated by this entire story. Part of me, if anything, almost wished for a more drawn out version, but when I think on it, things are wrapped up tightly as they stand. Thank you for sharing.

I LOVE THIS STORY! In fact, this was the third time I have read it! I love that Kenshin wasn't drinking water for Sano! It makes me mad that he does things like that, but that is his character! Fantastic! The only thing I would say is that each time I finished this story, I felt an extreme longing for the scene where Yahiko and Kaoru come, and to see her reaction to the Kenshin's refusing to take water! ...is it possible? Thanks for the great story!
