this is not a mirror universe story it's an alternate universe from the canon universe in which a character (Janeway) goes from their alternate canon universe(means that it's just slightly different from cannon)to another alternate canon universe, and then back again. a mirror universe story is one the takes place in the universe from TOS "Mirror, mirror" and the corresponding episodes of DS9. There are also the Dark Passions book 1 and 2 along w/ all the Star Trek: Mirror Universe books (multiple storys). A great example of mirror universe fanfiction story is To Stay Where You Are by Speaker for the Dead aka 17.

I'll tell you a funny story. There once was choir that had to sing a song called "The Water is Wide." This choir had an Alto section that could not bear the words for the second verse. This Alto section in particular had to fall into hysterics when the boat was tied to the oak that bent and broke. Therefor all harmonies were ruined and our insane Choir Teacher brought out the whip to punish us. Now, one day a member of the Alto section found this fanfic and sent it to the Alto section and

Ohhh i read this story a while back and loved it from the very first word. Great idea, well written with totally believable characters. I was truly torn between wanting Kathryn to return to 'her' chakotay and wanting her to stay with the 'AU' version. I know, i know, i cant have everything. Sooooo any more stories in the offing?
