abuseI'm sure I've read this before, even though I avoid songfic. This is one of the stories that make me grind my teeth at Will. See, the reason she's with Scout is because he *asked* Will's tendency to pine silently (and self consciously) from afar really irritates me.

The above is me being horrid about Will, not about your fic. It absolutely works without the lyrics attached. Bella muttering "o my God" over and over when she was in shock, Jake picking a vile bridesmaid's dress (was that a passing shot at J's inappropriately pastel dress sense?) W becoming an academic..

The thought of deanHam and head of deptJake recreating his parents pattern - but doing it better, please God - led my thoughts astray. *sigh, being JaHammer again*
