Wow the Riddles were cruel to do this to their long lost son Tom. I enjoyed reading this even though I felt bad for Tom. Thanks for writing and you are a good author.

That was so sad! It nearly made me cry.
Unfortunately, it's not canon; but it was really good.
Keep on writing!

Wow! You are undoubtedly talented. The story is maybe too much of a stretch… but I love it. Tom Riddle(Voldie) is somewhat of a society created monster… Life is cruel, and most of the concepts we base our beliefs on are flawed. You have done a great job at underlining that. Wonderful! It’s weird you don’t have more reviews… You deserve many more!

Finally, a good story about Tom Riddle's year after Hogwarts! There really are too few of them. And I love the wonderful job you did with the classic scene where Tom kills his father and grandparents. I've seen many where he's already ruthless at this point, walks in, says a few sarcastic words, and kills them. But Tom had probably just gotten out of school at this point, so I doubt he was quite the hardened killer at this stage. It's a unique twist, really, as most stories I've seen have him coming to his father's house with the sole purpose of killing him. I like this version, where he hasn't quite given up hope about his father accepting him, and they try to poision him. Talk about cold! No wonder he sought revenge, both for himself and his mother. Excellent story, hope we get to see more!

A wonderful job at portraying young Tom. Too often he's made out to be dark and angry from the beginning, but I agree with what you've presented here: that all he really was, was hurt and sad; until his father snubbed him for a second time. That would be enough to push anyone over the edge.

I look forward to reading the rest of Tom's descent into anger and madness. I never thought about it this way before, but the evolution of Lord Voldemort is very similar to the fall of Darth Vader in Star Wars... hmm, most interesting.

Keep writing, I'll keep reading.
