Nice. I can't find anything to suggest improvement. It sounds like what "really" happened during a missing scene.

I haven't read a Miles Vorkosigan novel in years; sounds like a lot has happened in the series. Your writing is very polished and vivid. But I see you suffer from a problem common among fic writers: story abandonment. Please look your story over and try to rekindle your interest, for all your readers' sakes. This is too good to leave fallow.

I can see where trying to keep Simon Illyan prisoner in his own facility would be...interesting. Good short-short.

Memory was my favorite book. I cried the first five times I read through it, and one of the scenes that inspired tears were those where Illyan had no clue what was going on... You pulled this scene off very well.

I just finished reading Memory today, and somehow came across this fic. I absolutely love it, and it's written beautifully. I love Simon Illyan's character so much, and have no idea why XP But I really like this fic. don't know if that means anything, seeing as you wrote it over a year ago, but I just had to say it. Wonderful.

This is beautifully done. Memory is my absolute favorite, and the complex relationship between Miles and Simon Illyan is in some sense the foundation of the entire book. It's nice to get a peek into Simon's head and hear the thought process that makes him start asking for his "problem child".

Oh, well done.

It's amazing how well you explored that part of the story from Illyan's point of view.

This is splendid. I love the slow reveal, and the inside of Simon's head, how nothing makes sense, and he has to accept that his situation is worse than being captured. I love this.

Nice depiction of a too-seldom-heard-from pov.

I just found your story and loved it! I'd always wanted to see work done with Illyan and it looks like you've got his character down quite well. I do wish that you would continue this story for a litle longer but I'm assuming this was a one-shot deal. Seeing what happens to him through is own eyes; his encounters with Miles, etc., would be fascinating.
Again, thanks so much for an entertaining story. I wish there were more works out there about this series.
