The demon was a grain of sand and the flower was a flower but also a leaf and there is lots of sand. Except when it's windy. or something...
the leaves are all tied to a tree-branch. the tree is on fire... ah...
the sand is low, the wind is high but the leaf is flapping around on the branch... oh...
Then came the snake and the fox and the leaf went off with the snake and they all flew away... happyhappy...

I am confused...? Entranced...? Mesmerized. bemused. str-struggling... still. pretty good :D

I love how this is narrated, it reminded me of a children's story. No names are necessary and the story itself has a very nice tone to it. A bit wistful, but overall very sweet.

This is one of the most amazing stories I have ever read. I can not praise your writing style enough. It is difficult to find a fanfiction as beautiful as this. I know this is an older story now, but my love for it just had to be expressed.
