Do you mean for the horses to be real, or just comical? I suppose if you're aiming for the latter you are achieving it... One thing though, I don't think 'passaging' is a word... and when Amy 'trots' up to the post it rather confused me. I was like 'Wait... Amy's a horse?' Then I figured it out. :D

It was a fairly well written piece of work, but I do have a few suggestions:

1. There were too many little comments made with the parentheses when thier contents could have easily been woven into the story.

2. The part when Frankie nudges Amy because of his mane doesn't make sense either. Horses don't have feeling in their hair, so he probably wouldn't mind it... unless she was pulling hard enough to unbalance the muscle on his neck, then it wouldn't be comfortable for him. The other thing is that in order to hold on to a horse's mane one has to be walking slightly behind the horse, letting it lead the way. If Frankie were a coward he wouldn't want to move, and he probably wouldn't respond much if Amy tried to lead him by his mane.
