You know, i felt bad for just adding your story to my alerts, it deserves a heck more than that. this is an amazing piece of fiction and i am so damned glad that i gave it a chance. This has to be the absolute best work i've read in my four years of being on this site. Its so involved and so emotional and your style just reached out and took my without me realising it. You really should be intensely proud of this and I really hope there is more coming out soon.

I think this story is amazing. everything just fits so well with the songs and there is no other way really to explain them.

OK, as I got deeper into this story, it started to scare me a bit. It's not bad or anything - the exact opposite, really. But... it's like Gem is my clone, or vice versa.

We both sing; we both hide hurt and anger behind a mask of calm that only a very few can break through; once we get hurt by someone, it's hard to let them back in or trust them again; we're both so deeply in love with our music that it almost always comes first.

Since I know and feel all of these things, I feel like I've become "one" with Gem (however stupid that sounds).

Anyways, my point is, I adore this story and wouldn't mind reading more of it at any point in the near future. (That's my not-so subtle hint ;D.)

One of the best parts of this chapter was how it brought both sides of the conflict in the open. For the majority of the story we’ve only seen Mia and Vince’s view, their feelings and reaction to Dom. What Gem knew about him was solely of their creation. I think that both Vince and Mia were perfectly justified in their opinions; they both felt betrayed and abandoned. It seemed like for the first time in a long while Mia was forced to think about the good things Dom had done, forced to move beyond the resentment for just a moment to remember.

The part about Letty feeling hurt about being replaced by Gem was very telling of the whole situation. It was like they thought everything would just automatically fall back into place once they returned from Mexico and the reality was so much different. Though, it was a little hard to find any kind of sympathy for Letty given the whole story thus far hasn’t really created that.

Something that I didn’t like was how it seemed like everything hinged on whether or not Gem would hear out Dom. She has a vested interest in the outcome of the whole thing given her friendship with Mia and relationship or lack thereof with Vince, but in the end they are the ones who need to decide if they want to forgive Dom. I just thought it was an odd way for the situation to play out, but that’s just my opinion.

As far as Dom goes, I want to think that he is being sincere about changing but it seems rather fast. I mean, Dom is arrogant and completely self involved so I find it a little hard to believe that within the span of a few days he would suddenly realize that he was completely wrong and change. I think that him being able to admit his past mistakes is admirable, but I just wonder what his true motivations are. Does he really want to make amends and rebuild those relationships or is it just the desire to return to some semblance of normalcy?

Overall, it was great. I’m a little sad that the story is coming to an end, but it has been a pleasure to read.
