The people were very in-character and I really appreciated the friendship between Janeway and Paris. (The Janeway/Kashyk plot was of course awesome as well!)

*Loved* this story. Beautiful characterizations - I've always loved the chemistry between Janeway and Kashyk and this is a beautiful, dark twist in this. Great storyline, and I particularly love your ability to subtly include little details that really build the setting and tension.
